As we all know, it's the bartender that really makes the difference when you order a drink. No two bartenders pour the same drink, they have their own personal style and we wouldn't ask for their secrets. Here at Tip Your Bartender we try to give you an accurate recipe for the drinks we sample but recipe’s do vary from bar and bartender.

Featured Drink Christmas Style

Santa Shot
Ingredients:
1/3 Grenadine
1/3 Green Creme de Menthe
1/3 Peppermint schnapps
Layer these in the order listed to get a red green and white(clear) shot. (Taste like a candycane.)

This drink was something out of the land of Candy Cane forest. Liquid candy cane, pure sugar sweetness, no bite. The colorful layers were "Tis the Season" but getting lit was not the reason. The Santa Shot is for someone who never drinks, because it tastes like you're not drinking alcohol, you're drinking a sugar syrup. I'd rather eat a Christmas cookie, taste better and half the calories. Baaaaa-humbug!

Black Santa

Scale ingredients to servings
1 1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1/4 oz peppermint schnapps
Pour the vodka and Kahlua coffee liqueur into an old-fashioned glass half-filled with ice cubes. Add the peppermint schnapps, and serve.

The Back Santa wasn't so hip, I was thrown back when I took a sip,
Rich and sweet, didn't like how the Peppermint Schnapps and Kahlua meet,
The vodka was nice, cold as ice, but I wouldn't have this drink twice,
Ho Ho Ho, this drink is a big No! You would have no luck under the mistletoe,
We tried to mix in some interracial cream, a White Russian peppermint dream,
But it's not what it seems, if you know what I mean,
The peppermint is too prominent, dominate, ruining the classic cocktail,
I was dumpy, grumpy, and wanted a Pale Ale,
So this holiday season leave a beer and shot for old Saint Nick,
And skip the poofy drinks that will make you sick.
