As we all know, it's the bartender that really makes the difference when you order a drink. No two bartenders pour the same drink, they have their own personal style and we wouldn't ask for their secrets. Here at Tip Your Bartender we try to give you an accurate recipe for the drinks we sample but recipe’s do vary from bar and bartender.

The Mega Margarita

It was an early night. Luke and I were on a mission. We headed down to Rock of the Sea on Portola Ave. in Santa Cruz where we met Carlos. We ordered a couple Mega Margaritas, a chimmy chunga and some tacos. The margarita tasted cold, fresh and delicious. They were served in a pint glass with two straws for ultimate consumption. You didn't know there were three shots of tequila in there, until you're glass is empty. We were on a roll. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and grinded on some real good grub. The chips and salsa were even outstanding.

You have to experience a Mega Margarita at Rock of the Sea. Ask for Carlos.

The Mega Margarita is 3 shots of tequila, fresh squeezed fruit, splash of orange juice and cranberry juice resting on a bed of soda water.
