As we all know, it's the bartender that really makes the difference when you order a drink. No two bartenders pour the same drink, they have their own personal style and we wouldn't ask for their secrets. Here at Tip Your Bartender we try to give you an accurate recipe for the drinks we sample but recipe’s do vary from bar and bartender.

Its Friday 3:30 pm, almost quitting time, happy hour is around the corner and I'm getting thirsty. I'm a house painter and was in the process of cleaning up a job site when I discovered a blue and white Newcastle beer bottle on the counter top. I quickly made my way to the empty bottle to observe my new found discovery. A Newcastle Winter IPA! Newcastle Brown Ale happens to be my favorite beer so I was very excited. I'm wasn't going to bum rush my clients' refrigerator or ask them for a beer, but I had to try this. In record time I was out the door and threw everything in the back of my truck. I drove around to three liquor stores in search of this Newcastle IPA. With no luck I was forced to hit up BevMo. Thank you BevMo. Not only did I find it, but it was on sale for $11.99 a twelve pack. As soon as I got home I pulled a chilled pint glass out of the freezer and poured myself a beer. I like IPA beer but they're not my beer of choice. The new castle IPA went down very smooth, especially in a pint glass. It had a little hoppy flavor, but what I liked the most was that it didn't leave a hard bitter aftertaste like you get with most IPA's. Instead it reminded me of a rich crisp Guinness. Smooth. Really smooth. In ten minutes I drank three beers and was on my way to a raging Friday night. The next day I dropped $100 and bought a shopping cart full of twelvers. This Winter IPA is a limited edition and I had to stock up. I enjoyed all 84 bottles before I thought about getting some more. I really enjoyed this IPA and would recommend it to everyone, especially those who like Newcastle, and also to those who don't prefer a typical IPA. This is different. Completely different. Get the Newcastle IPA while there is still time, you won't be disappointed. (No I didn't drink all 84 beers in a day.)
