The Irish Whiskey Smash is a tasty lemon Jolly Rancher with a hint of freshness. This little concoction will get you "smashed" with a cool buzz. "Smashing" my diet plan too. The amount of simple syrup is a little much, but it is a delicious treat. You can't go wrong with Jameson. Try something different, enjoy an Irish Whiskey Smash. You deserve it.

2 oz Irish whiskey
1/4 Lemon
1 oz Simple Syrup
3-4 Mint Leaves

Add mint leaves, lemon (juice) and simple syrup to glass. Muddle mixture. Fill with ice. Add whiskey. Stir. Enjoy.

This hot eggnog beverage was a tasty milky warm Jameson delight. It's actually a nice soothing source of protein. This simple cocktail is best enjoyed on a fall/winter night in front of the fireplace with your warm sweater, sweatpants, slippers and a comfortable cozy blanket, just before bedtime. Treat yourself to something different.

1 egg
1 jigger Whiskey
1 tbsps. Honey
Milk

Beat egg, add tablespoon of honey and a jigger of whiskey.
Pour into Irish coffee cup and fill the glass with warm milk and stir until it's well mixed.

Nothing screams summer like that first dip in the pool, a day at the ballpark or mom's freshly baked apple pie. Fortunately you don't need mom's secret recipe to enjoy a tasty delightful glimpse of summer. The Apple Pie shot is a small slice of heaven that hits all the comforting notes. This beverage won't break your summer savings either, with only three ingredients you can whip up these shots for all your friends. Smooth and delicious for any summertime gathering.

3/4 shot of Vodka
1/4 shot of Apple Juice
Dash of Cinnamon

Pour Vodka into shot glass, add Apple Juice and add a dash of Cinnamon. Slam!

The Firecracker is a small explosion of a warm spicy surprise. A match made shooter. Alarmingly, there's not much heat, just kicked up flavor. Ignite some holiday cheer with some Firecrackers this Fourth of July, perfect for a brunch or picnic. They won't blow your head off and they won't burn a hole in your pocket.

2 oz. Wild Turkey
4 dashes of Tabasco

Fill shot glass with Wild Turkey. Add four splashes of Tabasco. Slam.

The Boilermaker just seems to make sense when you're building a buzz. The whiskey flavors the cold beer and delivers quality refreshment. Boilermakers are best enjoyed at home, the ambiance of the bar requires time to reflect, and Boilermakers make you heated in a hurry. Next house party go big and fire-up some Boilermakers.

2 oz. Whiskey
10 oz. Beer

Fill shot glass with whiskey. Drop full shot glass into mug o' beer. Drink immediately, enjoy.

For this Featured Drink we went specific, Kamikazes at the Black Watch in Los Gatos, CA. Kamikazes have been long time tradition at this small dark pub on the main drag of downtown LG and we wanted part of the experience.

When I asked for a pitcher of Kamikazes, my buddy looked a little surprised and thought he was in for sharing a “Foo Foo” drink at a the bar. But once Robert served us up and we each had a taste of our citrus quenching beverage, things changed. The glasses were small and fancy but the cocktail was lit. The lime juice added the right amount of sweetness and the Triple Sec and Vodka added the swift luscious kick. Three simple ingredients, on the rocks, in perfect harmony, to deliver the famous drink that everyone was raving about. It was a perfect starter to a great evening. Within a few minutes the bar was packed and Robert had made over 10 pitchers. We opted for a beer, after the pitcher yielded about 3 small cocktails each. We didn’t want to overdo it.

Next time you’re in or around Los Gatos, stop in the Black Watch, the only real bar left in LG, and get a pitcher of Kamikazes. Get the originals, I hear the cranberry Kamikaze are a little “Foo Foo.”

The Oatmeal Cookie is a favorite amongst the younger patrons providing an earthy taste of a homemade treat. This beverage has all the right ingredients including Jagermeister, Goldschlager, Bailey's and butterscotch schnapps, but it lacks character and flavor. The cookie tasted like a licorice butterscotch, nothing like grandmas tasty goodness. Although this drink didn’t blast us with sweetness, we still didn’t want the secret recipe. We personally found the drink as dull as your grandma’s wooden spoon stuck in a bowl of dough. Nothing compares to a freshly baked oatmeal cookie.

1/4 oz. Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps
1/4 oz. butterscotch schnapps
1/4 oz. Bailey's Irish cream
1/4 oz. Jagermeister herbal liqueur

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Strain into a shot glass, and serve.

I was at the TYB Headquarters, the Nut House in Palo Alto, CA (The Nut House permanently closed in 2020,) admiring their drink specials when the beautiful Kimberley was behind the bar. She’s been at Antonio’s for over six months, an excellent addition to a fabulous Nut House Crew. I was enticed by one her own concoctions, The Crack-Berri-Soda. She whipped up the cocktail in no time. Kimberley has class and a sexy smile.

This drink was a light refreshing burst of delight, sort-of like a cool iced-tea on a sunny Sunday. Not as strong like a Long Island Iced Tea, but an adequate mix of flavor to alcohol providing another alternative to the boring vodka-cran. It wasn’t too sweet either, so it won’t kill you with a morning hang-over. The perfect spritzer for an interesting afternoon.

Crack-Berri-Soda = Blackberry vodka, soda, cranberry juice
